Twenty Years for a Twenty Dollar Bill

Northeast Mississippi (WCBI) — A fake Twenty Dollar Bill may get a North Mississippi woman twenty years in prison. Jennifer Strange of Booneville plead guilty in Federal Court to one count of knowingly passing a counterfeit bill. The indictment stemmed from an incident in Corinth, and alleges that Strange knew that the bill was a fake when she used it at  Rogers Super Market.

Strange is free on a five thousand dollar bond. She faces up to twenty years in prison and up to two hundred and fifty thousand dollars in fines.Her sentencing date has not been set.
