Two Area Men Arrested For Trailer Theft

TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — The Tupelo Police Department arrested Tyler Robinson, 27, of Pontotoc, and Matthew Whiteside, 31, of Tupelo, for grand larceny.

Officers were dispatched to a wreck on South Veterans Boulevard, and upon arrival discovered Robinson and Whiteside had sold the trailer to the scrap yard.

Upon investigating, it was determined the two had stolen the trailer earlier that morning from a business on McCullough Boulevard.

Robinson is currently out on bond for three counts of grand larceny from Lee and Pontotoc Counties.

Lee County Justice Court Judge Ricky Thompson set Robinson’s bond at $150,000. Whiteside’s bond was set at $5,000.
