Two Killed In Separate Crashes

Corinth, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people died in two separate crashes in north Mississippi.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says Larr B. Wicks, 61, of Corinth died when his Buick SUV hit a light pole. The accident happened Friday night in Alcorn County.

Wicks was traveling north on County Road 500 when he cross over Highway 2 and then crashed.

Monday afternoon in Benton County, Brandi Graves of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee was killed when the vehicle she was riding in collided with an 18-wheeler at U.S. 72 and Highway 7. Graves, 31, was the passenger in a Ford driven by Joshua Carter, 31 of Killen, Alabama. Carter was injured and taken to a local hospital.

Troopers say Carter’s vehicle crossed into the path of an 18-wheeler driven by Danny Stewart, 44, of Albany, Kentucky.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
