Two Lowndes County Men Arrested On Meth Charges

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Two Lowndes County men are now in jail after allegedly trying to distribute methamphetamine. Friday, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford truck on North Lehmberg Road in Columbus. 56 year-old Rickey Harrison the driver allegedly had methamphetamine in his mouth. 37 year-old David Keating was a passenger in the vehicle. Deputies say a search of the vehicle resulted in seizure of approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine an estimated street value of $1,100 dollars. Harrison is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Keating is charged with attempt to possess or obtain methamphetamine. Bond has not yet been set for either man.
