Two Men Arrested for Alleged Robbery

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Houston police arrested two alleged thieves attempting to flee a crime scene.

A woman told police she was approached Thursday evening in the Grocer’s pride parking lot by two men.

The suspects were later identified as 20-year-old Pheba man Robert Holmes and 21-year-old Mantee man Joshua Surall.

Holmes and Surall allegedly demanded money from the woman, then stole her purse before fleeing on bikes.

Holmes attempted to flee into the woods but was stopped by an officer. Surall was arrested later that night at Chickasaw Village Apartments.

The two men suspects were arraigned Wednesday morning in Chickasaw County Justice Court.
