Two Separate Burglaries Land Four In Jail

Tupelo, Miss. (WCBI) – Two separate burglaries land two Tupelo young men and some teens in jail.

Adrian McCoy, 18, and a 16 year-old juvenile are a facing at least one car burglary charge.

Thursday night Deer Park Road residents reported several males, dressed in all black, had been seen walking in their yards. The residents also told police their cars were burglarized.

Officers arrived and ran after the duo but they slipped away, only to be found later on.

McCoy is also being charged with burglary of a dwelling, that occurred earlier this year. He was out on bond for armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault charges. McCoy’s bond is now set at $500,000.

Also on Thursday night, Samuel Hall, 19, and a juvenile were arrested after Tupelo police received a burglary in progress call on Central Avenue.

Officers say Hall was arrested inside the burglarized house and the 17 year-old was trying to jump out of a window before being taken into custody. They’re charged with burglary of a dwelling.

Stolen items and a tool used to commit the burglary were found on the young men, according to investigators. Tupelo police believe the duo could also be involved in other burglaries.

Hall’s bond was set at $5,000.
