NEW ALBANY, Miss, (WCBI) — Union County deputies pause to remember one of their own, one year after Deputy Clinton Frazier was killed in a car crash while on duty.

Friends, family member, and fellow deputies stood by, as a monument for Deputy Frazier was unveiled at a ceremony held at the Union County Sheriff’s Department.

He died on the night of December 18th, 2013 after a car chase on Highway 178 in Myrtle. He left behind a wife, and three daughters, just seven days before Christmas.

“I know he would be proud. We are so proud of him; of course we wish he were here and weren’t here with the stone, but I know he would be proud of it,” says Molly Frazier, sister.

A grand jury indicted 27-year old Crystil Byers back in May for her alleged role in Deputy Frazier’s death.
