UPDATE: More Human Remains Found in Houston

HOUSTON, Miss. – (WCBI) More human remains are discovered in Houston Wednesday, according to Chickasaw County Chief Deputy James Myers.

The search initially began Tuesday, after a resident on Okolona Cutoff Road reported that her dog drug up a human skull. Multiple agencies returned to the area around 8 a.m., where they found the rest of what appears to be a human body.

Myers says he believes the body is that of Willie Harries. The 72-year old walked away from his home back in August, and has not been seen since. Myers adds that clothing matching that of Harries’ was also recovered.

Deputies must now wait for Crime Lab reports to confirm these findings. It could be two to three weeks before the results come in from Jackson. Investigators say while no cause of death is known at this time, they do not suspect foul play.
