Lee County, Mississippi (WCBI) – A Booneville man was electrocuted on the job Wednesday afternoon, and his son, 28-year-old Justin Sartain, has been charged with shooting into a motor vehicle.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said the incident happened about noon Wednesday at H.M. Richards Manufacturing in Guntown.

Green says 46-year-old Raymond Reece believed the electricity was shutoff on the equipment. Reece died shortly after at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Sartain is being held in Lee County after being stopped by deputies about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday on the Green Street exit on Highway 45.

Monroe Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said he believed Sartain was headed to the hospital to check on his father, when he allegedly got angry at the driver of another car and opened fire on Highway 45 Alternate in Monroe County.

The other driver was uninjured, but did follow Sartain and gave law enforcement a tag number.

Sartain was formally charged Thursday with shooting into a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $25,000.
