COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Veterans of the Vietnam war were honored Thursday afternoon for their dedication to our country.

Citizens came out to pay respect to two Vietnam Veterans who never returned from war. The quarterly event was held at the Columbus Municipal Complex and Vietnam Vet Turner Jackson spoke on the behalf of both friends, Roy Lee Henley and Sylvester Ellis.

“They never made it back home from Vietnam and 40 years after they were killed in Vietnam he’s going to step forward and he’s going to talk about them. I have the privilege and honor to stand next to this Vietnam Vet right here and he knew this young man right here,” said Wayne White, Founder of the Columbus War Museum.

Both of the men’s pictures are being hung in the Columbus War Museum.
