STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Citizens of Starkville got together at the Oktibbeha County Library to put together a time capsule.
The capsule is filled with pictures, videos and all sorts of treasures from the city of Starkville from up to 175 years ago. The capsule will be kept locked in a glass case in the library for safe keeping.
“This is our happy birthday today and end today and we put in a time capsule all of our events and they go inside one of the locked cases in the back of the library and we open 25 years from now,” said co-organizer Carole McReynolds Davis.
Several community members including Mayor Parker Wiseman were present at the event to celebrate the moment.
