GORDO, Ala.(WCBI)-Hundreds gathered on Main Street at Gordo’s 26th Annual Mule Day Chicken Festival.
The festival featured plenty of rides, games, and other events the whole family could enjoy. A carnival was on hand for the kids, along with arts and crafts venders, live entertainment, music and of course great food. One spectator says he comes every year to not only see unique events, but also to support his local community.
“It would be the parade that’s why I come, but I mean it’s just a good festival for any little small town. Kind of keeps Gordo alive I guess. Because people come to Gordo cause any other time they wouldn’t even come to Gordo if wasn’t for the festival,” says R.D. Deramus.
The event went on until late Saturday afternoon.
