Video: 60 Applicants Seek CMSD Superintendent’s Seat

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Nearly 60 people want to be superintendent of Columbus schools.

Now the school board is narrowing the list, which includes applicants from 24 states.

Board members spent more than four hours today going over details with search consultants Ray and Associates.

After today’s review, the board narrowed the list of applicants for interviews down to eight.

Interim Superintendent Edna McGill was one of the initial applicants.
