Video: 8 Days of Hope Working Hard to help in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – More than two thousand workers from eight days of Hope continue their mission to help Tupelo tornado victims. Crews have been Roofing houses, painting, and clearing lots around Tupelo. And they say they have had tremendous support.

” We are working on about 115 homes. We are doing a lot of community projects, Joyner Park, we are kind of sprucing that up, Ballard Park, so its been awesome. The heat has been brutal but today was a much better day for our workers. And boy, they’re having a blast. They love Tupelo, they love this area and its been a fun week.”

8 Days of Hope also announced plans to launch a new emergency program that would rush regional teams to clear debris and do emergency roof repairs within the first seventy-two hours after a natural disaster.
