ABERDEEN, MS(WCBI)-Residents and city leaders met in Aberdeen Monday night for a Town Hall meeting. Two groups took to the podium. One group of fitness-minded citizens is trying to organize a running and walking club. They are recruiting members, and they are lobbying support for initiatives to build tracks or trails for walkers and runners in the area. Another group was on hand to announce their plans to build environmentally friendly homes for some of the area’s low income families.
“We want to build 150 homes in Aberdeen to start with, and it’s our objective to build this eco-friendly home”
The aim of the town hall meeting was to introduce the ideas to the public. There was no official action taken.
