VERONA, Miss. (WCBI) — The people who own and manage North Mississippi’s farms spent the day discussing what they need for education. It’s part of the annual Agricultural Producer Advisory Council Conference. The Mississippi State Extension Service hosts the program.

Farmers, Ranchers, and Managers took part in a general session.  Breakout groups met to look at and identify priorities for aquaculture, beef, cotton, dairy, and other ag-related fields.
Organizers say it gives those who attend a chance to get their concerns voiced, then experts tackle the questions and concerns throughout the year.
“The producers meet in break out sessions and they review with extension agents , what’s been going on in the past year and provide input as to what they would like to see in the way of educational programming and research for the coming year.”

More than 300 ag producers attended this year’s meeting.
