Video: Amory Hosts Back-to-School Bash

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Amory residents are getting their kids excited about going back to school.

This is the fourth year they held a Back-to-School Bash for the kids.

Saturday’s event featured food, entertainment, and inflatables. Some children even received free school supplies.

Organizers say they hope this bash gets kids motivated for another school year.

“The kids just need positive role models,” said organizer Angela Lowe-Johnson. “They need more encouraging to do things to get through school, to make good decisions, and just to have them know that they are worthy, that they’re just not victims in society, that they can do what some people do not give them credit to do.”
