MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – There has been another delay for the dangerous dog ordinance in Monroe County.

Supervisors spent part of a recent meeting trying to figure out how to enforce an ordinance that would protect county residents from roaming or aggressive dogs.

Leaders must decide if they should hire a part time or full time worker, that would be housed within the sheriff’s department.

Supervisors are also factoring in the cost of housing animals.

After two months of conversations, supervisors decided to table the issue again.

It’ll be back on the agenda for their August 23rd meeting.
