Video: Armed Robbery Suspect on the Loose in Amory

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Amory Police Department is looking for a suspect for armed robbery, at a local pet grooming business Wednesday morning. Authorities say about 10:15 a.m., a young black male, approximately five feet six inches tall, used a box cutter to threaten an employee at Sassy Pups. The suspect was wearing a gray Ole Miss sweatshirt with red lettering and got away with a 2002, silver PT Cruiser but police have located the vehicle in a nearby city.

“The vehicle has been located in the city of Houston. We have an investigator in route there now to process that vehicle for evidence. So we feel like he’s from some area, maybe Houston area, being that’s where her ended up with the vehicle,” says Bowen.

Police haven’t made any arrests. If anyone has any information, please contact the Amory Police Department.
