As the women of  LPGA  head down to West Point for the Legends Tour, they will also get to experience the charm of the South.
“It’s great fun, they will have a wonderful time.”

Sandra Harpole knows these ladies will have a wonderful time. she has been planning their experience since march. Although quiet today, golfers will be arriving soon to kick off the week with an opening ceremony that includes barbeque and concert. To make this experience possible, more than 200 people have volunteered to welcome these ladies to the South.

“Volunteers are wonderful and we certainly could not do this without them.”

Volunteers will help with providing a true Southern experience. Classic home-style meals will be prepared and any accomodations that are needed will be met with a smile.

“We will be in the locker room, around the club house to answer any questions and provide any assistance they may need.”

Old Waverly plans to provide these players with not only a fantastic golf tournament, but also leave a lasting impression.
