Video: BCMC Hosts Pink Lemonade Day

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Patients at a Tupelo medical office were able to enjoy some treats, as well as get educated about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

The Barnes Crossing Medical Clinic hosted its Pink Lemonade Day for Breast Cancer Awareness this morning.

Patients were able to get pink lemonade, along with some pink cookies and cupcakes. There was also a representative from NMMC’s Breast Care Center on hand to talk about awareness and prevention of the disease.

Experts point out that breast cancer can be best treated and cured when it is detected in its earliest stages. This was the first year the Barnes Crossing Medical Clinic took part in Pink Lemonade Day.The event has been held at area factories and several other NMMC affiliated clinics and doctors offices.
