COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — 29 Columbus women started the idea in 1913 and received a charter in 1914.

Now, the Bernard Romans chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is celebrating its 100th birthday.

This week, the city honored the group for carrying on history, traditions and public service.
