Blue Springs, Miss. (WCBI) — The little town of Blue Springs is trying to ease the growing pains it’s experiencing from the nearby Toyota plant. And they are turning to others for help.

Aldermen have agreed to an interlocal agreement with Union County for animal control. The county has a dog ordinance but the city doesn’t. The working agreement will allow Union County to respond to calls about stray or vicious animals in Blue Springs. The small town also is working on a deal to have Sherman police respond as backup in case the one-man Blue Springs department needs assistance.
