BRUCE, Miss. (WCBI) — Bruce residents got some tips on living life as a smoke free community Thursday afternoon.

The Mississippi Tobacco Free coalition hosted a public forum detailing the benefits of being a smoke free community. Directors say despite initial grumblings about smoking bans, most cities soon realize the pros far outweigh the cons.

Bruce adopted one of the toughest anti-smoking laws in the state last year. The Bruce statute eliminates smoking in nearly every building that isn’t a residence.
