Video: Busy Columbus Street Will be Closed for at Least a Week

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A 10-block stretch of one of Columbus’ busiest connector roads will be closed next Monday through Friday for paving. College Street from 5th Street in downtown to 15th Street on the east edge of the MUW campus will be closed all week.

The city is trying to repave that section of the street while the university is on spring break. College Street will be closed but cross streets will be open, although there may be some delays. Drivers are encouraged to be careful and to seek alternative routes for the week.
