Video: C-Spire Launches Fiber To The Home In Starkville

STARKVILLE, MISS. (WCBI) — Internet service just got faster in for residents in Starkville.

Today, C-Spire launched its Fiber To The Home service in Starkville.

Customers will have ultra-high-speed one gigabit per second broadband internet.

C-Spire says it’s 100 times faster than the national average.

Community leaders celebrated the new technology at a press conference held at the home of the first high speed customer, Lynn Spruill.

She says it’s exciting to be the first customer and it’s a big boost for the city.

“I really can see the difference,” Spruill said. “I can see the difference in the screen, I can see the difference in the time to download, so I’m very excited about it from a business person’s perspective and as just a citizen of Starkville. I mean we’ve got wonderful things going on in Starkville right now with the football team and being first with C-Spire.”

Starkville is one of the first in Mississippi with access to the fiber-based internet.
