COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Remembering the men and women serving their country is especially important around the holidays and some Caledonia students are making sure that local soldiers are not forgotten.

Students from Caledonia High School collected supplies in front of the Columbus Walmart, Saturday. The students collected items like shampoo, disposable razors, stationary and batteries. Caledonia Schools have adopted soldiers from Tupelo, Jackson, and Columbus.

“We’re collecting all sorts of items from this list such as food, drinks, fun stuff from books to games to send to our soldiers. That way they know that we appreciate them and thank them for their service,” says Caledonia High School student Hannah Bishop.
