PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) -The 91st annual Calhoun County is kicking into high gear. There are the usual attractions, a carnival midway and good food, but traditional fair exhibits still bring in the crowds. Today it was the kids’ turn in the spotlight. The annual goat show is a family favorite., and youth from around the area got a chance to show off their prize billies and nannies. Prizes and bragging rights are on the line, but it’s also fun for participants.

“It’s people from all over North Mississippi that are coming to show livestock for the 4H, and you get to meet a lot of people out here. It’s really fun,” said Fairest of the Fair 2014 winner, Julianna Cain.

There will be a greased pig race Thursday night. The fair lasts through Saturday.
