CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — It’s home grown. Vendors turn out each week in Calhoun City on the square to share the fruits of their labors.

Calhoun Walkabout is a weekly Wednesday outing for farms and residents.

Local farmers and gardeners set up their wares on the square. It’s an old-time, outdoor market, allowing neighbors to visit and pick great local produce.

“We have tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, string beans,” local farmer Millie Goforth said. “We’ll have peas, and we’ll have all kinds of canned stuff.”

Goforth says each week the market grows. Individuals can stop by the square each week this summer, and on into the fall.
