COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Chick-Fil-A in Columbus is answering the call to help the Salvation Army … and you can help, too.

You may remember a story we brought you earlier this week about a shortage in the organization’s food pantry.

Beginning Monday, if you take a canned good into Chick-Fil-A in Columbus, you’ll get a free chicken sandwich.

All the canned goods collected will be given to the Salvation Army in Columbus to help restock the food pantry.

On average, they feed about 150 per month.

The free chicken sandwich giveaway will last through Friday April 25.
