Video: Chickasaw County Preparing to Take Bids for Ambulance Service

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI)  – Paramedics in Chickasaw County will be vital to local residents in need of emergency services. Now that the emergency room at Trace Regional Hospital has closed, medical personnel working for a contract ambulance service will an even greater role.

Supervisors in Chickasaw County may decide next week about a new ambulance contract.

Transcare is the current provider. Another firm has also presented a bid.

Emergencies will be routed by ambulance to area hospitals.
