CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Choctaw County supervisors have narrowed their search for a company to manage the hospital there down to four.

Pioneer Health Services cancelled their management contract for Choctaw County Medical Center and nursing home.

Supervisors met with representatives of Noble Health Care of St-Louis, Sunflower Management out of Sunflower County, Trilogy Health Services and Rush Hospital out of Meridian at a special meeting today.

Each company will submit formal proposals by June 9.

“The next thing we have to do is to hire the management company that will help us; lead us forward to making our facility operate as efficiently as it can,” Choctaw County Board of Supervisors President Chris McIntyre said.

Supervisors are up against an August 1 deadline to hire a firm to manage the medical center and nursing home.
