Video: Christmas Parades Across the Area

Floats, marching bands, and Santa Clause stormed the streets of Starkville this evening for the city’s annual Christmas parade.
This year’s theme was “Christmas in Whoville,” prompting churches, businesses and other community organizations to find inspiration Dr. Suess and the Grinch. Participants competed for “Best Use of Theme,” “Best Use of Lights” and “Best Overall” awards.
WCBI’s Aundrea Self and Bill Gamel also joined in on all of the holiday fun.

It was big money for the big winners tonight in the Nettleton Christmas Parade. Top Prize money for the best float was $300.

Tommy Lopez joined the fun there.  It’s also Christmas in Amory. Hundreds of people bundled up to watch friends, family and community leaders in their Christmas parade.  Emily Cassulo and Allie Martin were in the parade, led by Citizen of the Year and Grand Marshall, Dee Allison.

Santa magically attended of all of Monday night’s parades.
