Video: Citizens Participate In First Annual “Dress In Blue Day”

Lowndes Co. (WCBI) – More than 200 runners and bikers do their part to promote Colon Cancer Awareness Month.

They battled an early morning chill to take part in the first “Dress in Blue Day” 5-K bike ride and 10-K run around Columbus Air Force Base.

The event included a health fair with tips on early detection and treatment for colon cancer. Mississippi has one of the nation’s highest rates of the disease.
