Video: City Leaders Look to Create ‘Quiet Zone’ at Major Railroad Crossings

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — New Albany leaders, along with state engineers and Burlington-Northern Railroad, are exploring ways to create a “quiet zone” at major railroad crossings in downtown.

Options have been identified along Moss Hill, Railroad, and Highland Streets.

The choices range from relatively cheap to complicated and expensive.

City leaders hope to finalize a solution in a couple of months.
