Video: Columbus Burglary Suspect may have been Under the Influence of Spice

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police think a 29-year-old New Orleans man may have been high on a mixture of the the synthetic drug spice when he broke into a Columbus home Friday afternoon. A neighbor called police shortly after 4 to say a man was breaking into a home in the 1500 block of 27th Street North. Officers found the door to the home kicked and and took the suspect into custody. He initially fought with officers, “barking like a dog,” before becoming almost comatose. Police found what appears to be spice in his pocket. He was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle for treatment before being arrested on burglary charges.
