COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Dozens of Hobby lobby shoppers line up at the new Columbus store for the grand opening.
The 60,000-square-foot facility opened its doors Monday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Columbus Mayor Robert Smith and Hobby Lobby employees joined in on the grand opening.
Free refreshments provided by Chic-Fil-A were given to shoppers.
Many believe the response of the community will bring more revenue to the area.
“The store it has to be supported by the community and it appears to be that is taking place so we are excited about that,” says Steven Williams.
The new store is providing 80 new jobs to the area. Friday, Hobby Lobby held a soft opening for shoppers.
