COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI)Columbus may give West Point’s new curbside recycling program a helping hand.

The Columbus City Council tonight agreed to sell an unused paper and cardboard baler to West Point. The only hitch is figuring out a reasonable price.

The baler is not used by Columbus and needs about $1,500 worth of repairs. The baler cost about $5,0000 new. West Point officials told Columbus the baler would help expand the city’s curbside recycling effort.
