Video: Columbus Recognizes Incoming Park and Rec. Leader and Outgoing Property Manager

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus City Council gives its stamp of approval to one new administrator and starts preparing to say farewell to another. Councilmen unanimously confirmed the hiring of Greg Lewis as director of the Columbus Lowndes Recreation Authority.

Lewis has been programs director for 23 years and officially takes the new role January 1st when Roger Short retires. The Board of Supervisors also must confirm the hire.
Meanwhile, the Council accepted the retirement of long-time property manager Frank Goodman. When he official leaves next April, he will have been with the city 28 years managing the Trotter Convention Center, Friendship Cemetery and other city properties.
