NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Union County Sheriff’s Department is trying to find the owners of jewelry, computers, video games and other items taken during a string of burglaries during January. Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says his deputies had been on the lookout for a car involved in home burglaries. Officers stopped the car, and arrested 39 year old Samuel Garcia and 35 year old Courtney Walls. Investigators searched a Union County home and found numerous stolen items.

Sheriff Edwards says the two would burglarize two to three homes a day. Now, the sheriff is trying to find the owners of the stolen items.

“And we’ve just got some items here, that we’re not sure where they come from and we wanted the viewers to be able to see if they recognized any of these items coming out of their home and getting it back to the rightful owner and clearing up a burglary somewhere, because we don’t know where all they’ve been and they don’t even know where all they have been.”

Bond has been set at $10,000.00 each for Walls and Garcia. Sheriff Edwards says the pair are suspected of home burglaries in Itawamba, Pontotoc and Marshall counties.
