TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The CREATE Foundation recognizes those who’ve helped others. At Thursday’s  Fall Summit, Starkville-Oktibbeha Achieving Results or SOAR took home James Hugh Ray Award for affiliate of the year.  And Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi received the McLean Award for Philanthropy. Organization leaders say it’s all about making a difference.

“We’re looking for organizations that are clearly making a difference in their community that has an active and engaged board. So that’s some of the major criteria there. And then really for the McLean Award we’re looking for individuals companies organizations that really set a high level of charitable giving.”
