WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) By day, Cathy’s Restaurant on Highway 45 in West Point appears to be your typical small town diner. When the sun sets, the back of the building transforms into one of the spookiest haunts in the Golden Triangle.

Before we even go there, there is a story behind the Nightmare on Highway 45. Three Clay County families wanted to do something festive and fun for their community.

“We’re trying to something for the community. We do not make a dime, but it is fun!,” says Tim White.

So much fun in fact that the tour has grown over the last three years, and people from across the state stop by here to get their thrills.

“Some people aren’t scared of some things, but some people are terrified. Clowns don’t bother me, but they terrify you,” adds White.

Family friendly and open to all, you can always spend your Halloween night with some of the most spirited people of the Point City, making this has been just one more day in the life.

Entry begins at 7 p.m. on Oct 31, Nov 1, Nov. 8, Nov. 9. $7 dollars is the entry fee.
