COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The City of Columbus makes some changes at the top. Assistant Fire Chief Martin Andrews has been named interim chief while the city seeks a replacement for Ken Moore, who retired at the end of March. The city will advertise internally for 30 days before deciding on a permanent chief.

In another move, City Planner Christina Berry will now oversee federal programs along with her other responsibilities. The move comes after federal programs director Travis Jones was demoted two weeks ago and given a $6,000 pay cut. Berry will be reviewed in six months.
