Video: Eliminating Inspection Stickers

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi house and senate have already approved legislation eliminating the familiar $5 vehicle inspection sticker.

For years the inspection required a check of windshield wipers, horn, a check of headlights and taillights. Financially it does not mean much to operators of those inspection stations. But it could result in a little less money coming in to companies who in the past have replaced broken windshields glass for motorists wanting to pass inspection.

“Well, of course they won’t come here as often, because they don’t have to have it replaced. They do not have to have an inspection sticker,” said Gary Shaw/Shaw Glass.

Some states already have eliminated vehicle inspection stickers.
