Video: Fairview Magnet School Holds Science Fair Workshop

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Fairview Aerospace and Science Magnet School hosted a science workshop this afternoon. MSMS students used chemistry, physics and biology to build demonstrations in each classroom, as parents and elementary students watched and asked questions. For the MSMS students, it was a chance to practice their skills, while organizers hope it inspires the younger ones to consider the field.

“We want to make sure that all students have this great opportunity. And having these students from the Math and Science school allows them to see, ‘Hey, I can step out the box. I can do whatever I want to do, and it’s OK if I step outside the box and do my experiment.'”

MSMS students will take their science projects to competition next month.
