STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The search for a new Oktibbeha County administrator is down to two local names and one out-of-towner. The fourth finalist, health care executive John Thomas, withdrew his name Monday. Thomas’ current employer adjusted his schedule and Thomas said he thought it best for him to stay in that job.

The three remaining candidates are Oktibbeha County comptroller Emily Garrard, former Starkville chief administrative officer Lynn Spruill and Ivory Williams, a former administrator with the cities of Jackson and Hattiesburg.

County supervisors may decide at their March 17th meeting.
