Video: First Lady Deborah Bryant Visits with Starkville Students

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Starkville youngsters had a special visitor Wednesday morning.

Mississippi’s First Lady, Deborah Bryant, dropped by to read to students at Sudduth Elementary  School.

As part of her “Read Across Mississippi” education initiative, Mrs. Bryant has made it a goal to read to school children in all 82 Mississippi counties.

The students at Sudduth also made a contribution to spreading her literacy message and tornado relief efforts. They collected 75 books for the First Lady to take to Louisville.
