CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Hundreds of volunteers have searched more than a thousand acres, knocked on hundreds of doors and tromped through countess woods and streams. Now they can only pray. Houston and Chickasaw County authorities ended the formal searching today for 72-year-old Willie Harries, who has been missing since August 23rd. He was last seen at about 5 p.m. that day walking near his home in the Wofford Drive area of Houston. Rescue workers and searchers say they haven’t given up hope that Harries has made it somewhere safe and word just hasn’t reached him. Anyone with information is asked to call the Chickasaw County sheriff’s department or Houston Police Department.
