ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -A former Smithville football coach serving time for enticement of a minor plans to appeal his three hundred month sentence. Dwight Bowling filed the notice after U.S. District Judge Glen Davidson reinstated his sentence. Bowling wanted his sentence vacated because his former attorney, Christi McCoy, missed the original appeal deadline.

After reviewing the case, Judge Davidson reset Bowling’s appeal deadline. Bowling’s former attorney says the notice of appeal was never filed because she had been fired.
