FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Fulton aldermen have clamped down on the city’s existing pool halls and recreation centers.

Aldermen last week passed a new set of regulations which aim to hamper illicit activity in and around billiard rooms and recreation centers.

Owners of such centers must now apply annually for a permit to run the business or center.

In order to apply for the permit, owners must agree to prohibit, among other things, any level of gambling, drunkenness and lewd behavior.

The recreation centers and pool halls are also required to close down at midnight, and remain closed until 6 a.m.
